"We did" 5 Years Ago

It's been 5 years since we said "I do"

...and every day I am so glad we did!

 

We celebrated this past weekend with a trip down south...

Day 1

Stratford-Upon-Avon

 The Garrick Inn

 the gardens were so colorful and smelled like a dream

Day 2

 the B&B we stayed at

 Anne Hathaway's cottage

 this is where Shakespeare's wife grew up

my favorite place in Stratford was Shakespeare's mother, Mary Arden's childhood home and farm

it was so interactive with animals, people in costume going about daily life in the Tudor times,

and even an archery demonstration

Isaac liked "baaing" at the sheep and goats



 checking out a barn owl

early gambling - they put a ferret in a barrel with numbered holes and people placed bets on which hole the ferret would exit from

Day 3

Oxford

 this pub is where C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkein and their literary group the Inklings would meet and share their writings and ideas

all geared up for our first punting experience

 we always have a great time with Joel and Salena

 Isaac wasn't so sure about this boating thang but thankfully there were lots of ducks and geese to look at...snacks didn't hurt either...

 he loved rocking out to the street musicians though

(doesn't he look like a little elton john?!)

we could not have asked for a more perfect day in Oxford!
