A couple weeks ago Salena came to visit and the three of us went to the coast.
It was the farthest I've driven since living in England (I love me some serious gps!) and we made it there and back successfully.
Bempton Cliffs
We were a bit early in the year for Puffins but we saw loads of Gulls and Gannets.

It was strange because looking this direction it was farmland as far as you could see...turn around and you about fell off the cliff!

We loved watching the birds swoop and soar and listening to their songs.

Our tummies started grumbling so we headed back to the car and, a couple miles down the coast we went to Fish and Chips 149 at Bridlington. They had won Best Fish and Chips 2011 so it was a worthy stop.
After crunchy fish and too many chips we meandered on the beach.
It was kind of cold and misty.

I bet these beach "huts" are hopping in the summer!

Salena and Isaac were exploring the pebble piles. She was trying to teach him to drop rocks. He would hold one high over his head, grin, then lower his hand to just an inch or two from the ground before letting go.
