I found this place on hotels.com
it was cheap
it wasn't in any city or town we wanted to visit
but it was kind of between them all
I booked it for 5 nights
we were a little skeptical as we pulled up the drive
to a house
it was a family home
and we were welcomed into a warm, toy-filled, delicious place
it was great!
isaac loved the sandbox and swingset in the front garden
benji liked watching the sheep
who are ewe?
the husband of this hotel operation was quite the artist
his canvas of choice was old doors...
big ones, small ones...
he had a whole barnful of them!
he carved and painted them into lovely works
like this one in our bedroom
the scariest part of this home was this steep little staircase
leading from the main room to our bedroom
praise God no one tripped or fell!

isaac loved playing with those and a whole chest-full of cars and trucks
benji's trying to sneek a taste of breakfast
it was the perfect place to begin our adventures!
