Appleby Horse Washing

Perhaps one of the strangest events we've attended thus far...

the Appleby Horse Washing

an annual gathering of travellers (aka gypsies)

for general revelry

and washing their stocky little horses in the river

 

we met up with the Ausonios in this tiny little town

that was packed to the gills with travellers

and fellow gawkers

 

it was crowded, sunny, and fun
